📖 Lesson 6 — Introduction to the OSI Model

Lesson Introduction 🌐

Imagine sending a package across the world.

A package does not magically appear at its destination.

Many things happen:

  1. Someone creates the package.
  2. The package is labeled.
  3. It is transported.
  4. It passes through different systems.
  5. It reaches the receiver.

Computer communication works in a similar way.

When you send a message, open a website, or download a file, many processes happen behind the scenes.

The question is:

How do we understand all those processes?

This is where the OSI Model comes in.
